OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Sustainability and material

Lis Bonne Atelier takes a holistic approach to sustainability and every aspect of our business—from design to consumption—reflects our ambition to be a brand at the forefront of sustainability and quality. We strive to create pieces that will last for a lifetime, without compromising on style and design. We stand for high quality and timeless designs, where every detail is carefully considered and chosen. Guided by heart and dedication to quality, each decision we make ensures that our entire value chain aligns with our sustainability principles and dedication to responsible craftsmanship.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Material and design

It's fundamentally important for us to choose the right material and fiber for each garment. The choice is not only taken from a design perspective, but also from an environmental and longevity perspective to ensure that each garment will last as long as possible. We aim to choose the material with the lowest environmental impact and carefully select and search for the better choice. We always perform meticulous tests before use on all our materials and fibers to ensure longevity and durability. With the right care and love each piece from Lis Bonne Atelier will last for a long time ahead. We have developed an internal principles guide that outlines our preferred materials and key initiatives related to material sourcing and production. This guide reflects our thoughtful approach to material selection, highlighting the careful considerations behind each choice.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Deadstock material

Building on our commitment to sustainability, we are proud to integrate the use of deadstock materials into our production process. Producing pieces made from deadstock fabric reflects our dedication to minimizing waste and maximizing the lifecycle of materials. By thoughtfully repurposing deadstock materials that would otherwise be discarded,we take our responsibility to ensure that nothing goes to waste. Each decision in our production process is made with intention, selecting materials that align with our commitment to circularity. These carefully curated deadstock fabrics are given new life through our designs, allowing us to create sustainable, timeless pieces without contributing to overproduction or unnecessary resource use.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Production and transportations

Ethically production is important for us. We produce all our products in European factories, and we have designated staff to make sure working conditions are good and live up to European and International standards, laws, and regulations. We carefully select our suppliers and work with only a few chosen ones. Our production countries are currently Portugal, Romania and Turkey. Choosing Europe as a production site is also a matter of environmental impact, as it means shorter distances for transportations. We maximize the space in the transportation vehicles both from an environmental and economic perspective.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Packaging

Our packaging and trims are chosen with consciousness. All of our paper packaging and labels are made with FSC® branded materials ensuring the paper used originates from responsible managed forests. FSC is a 3-part verifications system to ensure the end consumer the origin and safety of the product. We currently facing out all plastic bags and instead we are introducing paper bags certified with FSC® as protection of our garments in transportation. We encourage our customers to reuse our garment boxes and bags.Close the loopWhen your garment from Lis Bonne Atelier is worn out or you no longer use it, we encourage our customers to resell or give it to someone else to love and cherish, each garment deserves to be used as much as possible by one or many users. If the garment is worn out, we encourage you to hand it in for recycling at your closest recycling place to close the loop. For specific queries about any of our responsibility initiatives, please contact info@lisbonneatelier.com.
